On the afternoon of July 28, comrade Huynh Quoc Thai, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen Ward (An Giang Province) chaired the 2nd Conference of the Executive Committee of the Long Xuyen Ward Party Committee (expanded).

The conference assessed the implementation of political tasks in the first 6 months of the year and set out directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the Party Committee of Long Xuyen Ward ( An Giang Province) focused on implementing Party building and mass mobilization work, achieving many important results; promptly grasping and implementing specialized resolutions, directives and conclusions of Party committees at all levels.

The Party Committee has done a good job of organizing the apparatus of the political system; arranging and assigning cadres and civil servants to suit their positions. The grassroots Party Committees and branches have completed the organization of congresses for the 2025-2030 term; the Party's inspection and supervision work has been strengthened.... Thereby, creating consensus among cadres, Party members and the People, contributing to the successful implementation of the set political tasks.

The socio -economic situation of Long Xuyen ward continues to change positively, achieving many encouraging results in many fields. The trade and service system is constantly expanding, meeting the shopping and consumption needs of the people; agriculture develops stably...

There have been many changes in the cultural and social fields, the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved; political security and social order have been maintained, without hot spots or complications occurring in the area.

Concluding the conference, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen Ward Huynh Quoc Thai acknowledged and commended the achieved results, and at the same time requested the branches, affiliated Party Committees, each agency and unit to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity and unity in thinking and action, creating consensus and clarity of the entire political system in performing assigned political tasks.

In particular, proactively study new documents and instructions on the functions and tasks of local governments at two levels; propagate and mobilize cadres, party members and people to actively participate in emulation movements to achieve achievements in welcoming party congresses at all levels; carefully prepare all necessary conditions to successfully organize the first ward Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Research and launch the movement to build "Four-Good Party Cells" and "Four-Good Grassroots Party Committees" practically and effectively. At the same time, focus on successfully implementing the socio-economic development tasks according to the set plan, striving to build Long Xuyen ward into a commercial and service center, with the identity of a modern, smart and sustainable river city.
