Conference to contribute ideas to the Draft Law on Security and Order

To prepare for the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly , this afternoon , the Ha Tinh National Assembly Delegation coordinated with the Provincial Police to organize a conference to collect comments on draft laws on security and order. Comrade Tran Dinh Gia, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and leaders of the Provincial Police chaired the conference. Attending were Comrade Tran Van Ky, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council .

Overview of the conference to collect opinions on draft laws in the field of security and order organized by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation in coordination with the Ha Tinh Provincial Police.

The conference sought comments on the Law on Personal Data Protection; Law on Organization of Criminal Investigation Agencies (amended); Law on Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the Penal Code; Law on Transfer of Persons Serving Prison Sentences; Law on Extradition. Regarding the Law on Organization of Criminal Investigation Agencies (amended), delegates said that it is necessary to regulate the coordination relationship between agencies after the merger; set specific criteria for appointing investigators; and increase the authority of a number of units conducting investigation activities. Regarding the Draft Law on Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the Penal Code: there should be specific guidelines on regulations on mitigating and aggravating criminal responsibility; and the age of criminal responsibility.

Representatives of the People's Procuracy of Ha Tinh province gave comments on draft laws related to the fields of justice and security.

Commenting on the draft Law on Personal Data Protection, delegates proposed to amend and supplement the provisions on sanctions for violations of personal data protection; recommend increasing the level of administrative penalties; add the right to restore personal data; clarify prohibited acts of buying and selling personal data; protect children's data... For the Extradition Law: it is necessary to add definitions of some terms; extradition period, extradition principles, cases related to extradition refusal... For the Law on Transfer of Prisoners: propose to add requirements for transferring prisoners such as passports, personal assets, identity cards...

Comrade Tran Dinh Gia - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Tinh province spoke at the conference to collect comments on draft laws on security and order.

Concluding the conference, comrade Tran Dinh Gia; Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, acknowledged and highly appreciated the opinions of the delegates. The Provincial National Assembly Delegation will synthesize and research to participate in discussing and developing the Law Projects on security and order at the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly.
