National conference on training on AI application for officials of Party committees and agencies at the Ministry of Industry and Trade

At the Ministry of Industry and Trade bridge, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry chaired the conference.

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 407-CV/DU dated September 3, 2025 of the Government Party Committee on organizing a training conference on the application of artificial intelligence and Plan No. 169-KH/VPTW dated August 25, 2025 of the Office of the Central Party Executive Committee on organizing an online conference on training on the application of artificial intelligence for cadres of Party Committees and Party agencies; Plan No. 04-KH/DUB dated September 8, 2025 of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on organizing an online conference on training on the application of artificial intelligence, the Party Committee of the Ministry organizes a training conference on the application of artificial intelligence for cadres and Party members of Party organizations under the Party Committee of the Ministry; civil servants and public employees of agencies and units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Attending the conference at the Ministry of Industry and Trade bridge point were: Members of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee, Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries, Party Committee members of grassroots Party Committees, grassroots Party Cells, Party Cells directly under the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Leaders of units (Heads, Deputy Heads) of units under the Ministry: Departments, Divisions, Institutes, National Competition Commission, Ministry Office, Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade, Office of the State Steering Committee for Energy Sector Projects, Office of the Inter-sectoral Steering Committee for International Economic Integration, Industry and Trade Newspaper, Industry and Trade Magazine, Industry and Trade Publishing House, Center for Industry and Trade Information, Center for Labor Environmental Health Industry and Trade, Party Committee of the National Electricity System and Market Operation Company Limited, Party Committee of Vietnam Paper Corporation, Party Committee of Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Corporation; Leaders (Heads and Deputy Heads) of mass organizations (Ministry's Trade Union, Ministry's Youth Union, Ministry's Veterans Association); officials and specialists of the Agencies and the Advisory Board of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized two conferences: the first conference, 2 days, starting from 8:00 on Tuesday, September 9 to 17:00 on Wednesday, September 10; the second conference, 2 days, starting from 8:00 on Thursday, September 11 to 17:00 on Friday, September 12.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Vo Thanh Hung, Deputy Head of the Party Central Office, said that implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, the Party Central Office has issued Plan No. 169, organizing training conferences with synchronous and unified requirements from the Central to the grassroots level. The goal is to ensure "the same message - the same awareness - the same standards" in applying AI to the work of Party committee and agency cadres.

The conference is connected online with many locations across the country.

“In the context of national digital transformation entering an accelerated phase, AI is not only a tool to improve productivity but also a core capacity to modernize the Party's leadership, direction and administration methods; contributing to improving the quality of advice, shortening work processing time, building professional, transparent, effective and efficient Party committees and agencies.

In that spirit, the Central Party Office organized a national training conference on the application of artificial intelligence for cadres, Party committees and Party agencies, in both direct and online forms, connecting nearly 4,000 points nationwide," informed comrade Vo Thanh Hung.

According to comrade Vo Thanh Hung, the three key objectives of the training conference include: One is to raise awareness of the role, potential and orientation of AI application in the work of Party committees and advisory agencies at all levels, from research, synthesis to implementation and supervision.

Second, equipping comrades with basic knowledge and skills so that they can proficiently use some popular AI tools to serve consulting, synthesizing, analyzing documents, building plans and reporting.

Third is to form the right attitude and responsibility in using AI safely and securely, complying with Party regulations and State laws, in line with political and ideological orientation.

The Deputy Head of the Party Central Office added that the conference was organized in a practical, easy-to-understand, easy-to-apply manner, focusing on practicing real-life situations; at the same time, the effectiveness will be surveyed and measured to serve as a basis for synthesizing and implementing the next steps.

During the 2 working days, the conference will be presented by lecturers and guided by an overview of AI, major trends and application scenarios in party work; practice with some popular AI tools; discuss topics on ethics, law, security, prevention of risks of information distortion; summarize, share experiences, and orient application deployment at each agency and unit...

The Deputy Head of the Party Central Office also proposed a number of important principles. First, comply with regulations on information security and confidentiality; do not put confidential documents or sensitive data of the Party and State on the AI platform. Second, use AI responsibly, set goals to serve the work, regularly verify results, consider AI as a support tool and not a replacement for independent thinking, political qualities and speech discipline of cadres and party members.
