
Attending the workshop were comrades representing leaders of central and local departments, ministries and branches; Quang Tri province; experts, scientists , representatives of universities, research institutes, and enterprises from many provinces and cities across the country.
Delegates attending the workshop focused on discussing five major groups of contents, including: forecasting the domestic and international situation and context; advantages and difficulties; opportunities and challenges due to environmental pollution and climate change affecting Vietnam when transforming the economic growth model towards the goal of double-digit development.
Clarifying the role and driving force of science and technology in implementing green transformation: Technological breakthroughs serving green agriculture, clean industry, renewable energy; applying artificial intelligence, digital transformation in monitoring resources, environment and climate.
Innovation ecosystem and institutions supporting green transformation: policy mechanisms promoting research, development and application of green technology; linking the State-scientists-enterprises-society in innovation and environmental technology...

Local, sectoral and business practices in implementing green transformation: responding to climate change, transforming growth models, the role of businesses in technological innovation, and investing in sustainable development.
Many opinions proposed solutions to promote strategic breakthroughs in science and technology in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; Conclusion No. 81-KL/TW dated June 4, 2024 on continuing to implement Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW of the 11th Central Executive Committee on proactively responding to climate change, strengthening resource management and environmental protection, meeting the requirements of national development in the new era.
Speaking at the workshop, comrade Huynh Thanh Dat, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, affirmed that developing science and technology and innovation are decisive factors and foundations to help Vietnam achieve double-digit growth targets in the coming years; becoming a modern industrialized country by 2030 and a developed, high-income country by 2045.
In particular, green transformation is a prerequisite to help improve national competitiveness, meet international standards, protect the environment for rapid and sustainable development of the country. The opinions and discussions at the workshop will be compiled and refined by the Organizing Committee to make recommendations to the Party and State leaders on mechanisms and policies for developing science, technology and innovation to serve green transformation, contributing to realizing the goal of developing a green, prosperous and sustainable country in the new era.
