Workshop to collect opinions on the draft resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution

Overview of the workshop.

At the conference, delegates agreed with the National Assembly's issuance of a Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; agreed with the guiding viewpoints, purposes, requirements, scope of amendments and supplements as well as the contents of amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution. At the same time, contributions focused on the following groups of contents: Regulations related to the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio -political organizations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Regulations in Chapter IX to implement the 2-level local government organization model in accordance with the roadmap for arranging and merging provincial and commune-level administrative units, not organizing at the district level. The delegate also proposed to supplement the role and position of the Union of Science and Technology Associations as a socio-political organization like the five socio-political organizations stipulated in Article 9 to affirm more substantially and comprehensively the alliance of the working class with the peasantry and intellectuals.

After the workshop, opinions will be compiled and a report will be prepared reflecting the recommendations and proposals of the intellectuals in the province to the Provincial People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and relevant agencies to report to the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly .
