Today, the National Assembly begins the process of taking a vote of confidence.

Specifically, National Assembly deputies will listen to the Report on the proposed list of people to be voted on and discuss in groups related issues after the list is approved.

On the morning of October 25, the National Assembly heard a report on the discussion results and established a Vote Counting Committee, organizing a vote of confidence by secret ballot.

The counting committee reported the vote counting results in the afternoon of the same day, after which the National Assembly voted to pass a resolution confirming the results of the vote of confidence.

Deputy Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh said that the National Assembly Standing Committee has received full work reports from the beginning of the term and the declaration of assets and income of the person who is being voted on for a vote of confidence.

The entire results of the vote of confidence will be announced in the mass media immediately after the National Assembly passes the resolution of the session.

The vote of confidence for positions elected and approved by the National Assembly is conducted according to Resolution No. 96/2023/QH15, dated June 23, 2023, of the National Assembly, including: President, Vice President; Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the Council of Nationalities, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly; Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, other members of the Government; Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy and State Auditor General.

Those who have announced their resignation pending retirement or have been elected or appointed in the year of the vote of confidence are not eligible for the vote of confidence.

Therefore, this session of the National Assembly will not take a vote of confidence forPresident Vo Van Thuong, Deputy Prime Ministers Tran Hong Ha and Tran Luu Quang, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh and Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee Le Quang Manh, because these 5 positions will be elected and approved for appointment in 2023./.
