More than 1.7 million Thai Nguyen residents will receive gifts on National Day September 2

The State Bank has sent an official dispatch to commercial banks and foreign bank branches requesting them to ensure a safe and smooth 24/7 payment system to promptly serve the payment of gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2.

In Thai Nguyen , the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Region 5 has urgently implemented this directive, requesting state-owned commercial banks and bank branches where commune-level People's Committees open accounts to closely coordinate with local authorities, the State Treasury and relevant agencies to make gift payments to people. Payments must be made promptly, to the right recipients, and completed as planned.

According to statistics, Thai Nguyen province currently has 1,745,413 people who will receive gifts with a total cost of more than 174.5 billion VND. This is one of the specific contents to implement the Prime Minister 's Official Dispatch No. 149 on giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

To ensure timely payment, the State Bank of Region 5 has announced adjustments to transaction times during the National Day holiday in 2025. Specifically, on August 30, 31 and September 1, 2, 2025:

+ Cash transactions: morning transactions stop at 11:00, afternoon transactions stop at 15:00.

+ Electronic money transfer: low value transactions stop at 15:00, high value transactions stop at 16:00.

From September 3, 2025, transaction activities will return to normal according to Official Dispatch No. 105/KV5-TTKQ dated March 17, 2025 of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 5 and the Regulations on the operation of the interbank payment system.

This adjustment aims to ensure the payment system operates safely and smoothly, contributing to the rapid implementation of the gift-giving policy for people on the occasion of the 80th National Day, September 2.
