Creative camps have opened up many opportunities for exchange and creativity for artists.

Many works bear the mark of new creativity, deeply reflecting the reality of the country and Vietnamese people in the period of renovation and integration. Literary works have contributed to enriching the contemporary literary treasure with many diverse genres, from novels, short stories, poems to critical theory, creating a resonance among experts and readers.

In the fields of fine arts, photography, music, theater, etc., many works have not only won prestigious domestic awards but have also been exhibited, performed and released abroad, introducing the image of Vietnam to international friends. Each creative camp leaves its own mark and achievements.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Khoi - Acting Director of the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: Maintaining and developing the system of creative houses associated with creative camps shows the attention of the Party and State for artists. Because the Party and State always consider literature and art as an important field, an essential need of society, contributing to building Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development of the country.

"During its operation, the Center and its creators have made many contributions to the development of the country's literature and arts. Every year, the Center organizes an average of 60-70 creative camps and more than 20 artists' trips to create in-depth works, serving thousands of artists and writers, helping to create tens of thousands of literary and artistic works in many different fields. The works created by the creators contain values of patriotism, humanity and national spirit; they have a practical effect on building a healthy cultural life," Mr. Tran Ngoc Khoi shared.

According to him, to measure the effectiveness of the center's activities, the most important thing is to evaluate and recognize the value of literary and artistic works born from the creative camps. Therefore, the center and the agencies and units coordinating the creative camps continue to focus on selecting artists to become camp members. In particular, choosing authors with good outlines and prospects to invest in in-depth writing with the aim of soon having quality works.

This may make some artists who have not been or are rarely selected to be campers or to invest in in-depth creation feel dissatisfied, thinking that it is unfair. But if we go into the essence, the purpose of participating in the creative camp is to create, not a place to have fun or relax, so the center always determines that the quality of the works born from the creative camp must be the top priority.

Therefore, it is necessary to increase in-depth investment; carefully select, put faith in artists with abundant creativity, capable of making breakthroughs in art. The work of selecting "input" depends on the units coordinating with the center to organize the creative camp.

Sharing her experience of attending creative camps, artist Nguyen Thi Hai Nhung, a lecturer at Nghe An College of Culture and Arts, said: "I think that the creative camp model associated with the creators organized by the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation should not only be maintained but should be further developed, to become more and more perfect. Personally, when attending creative camps, I have more time and necessary space, to break away from the daily rhythm of life to sublimate my creativity."

One issue that the artist would like to propose is that we need to pay more attention and invest in promoting literary and artistic works. Specifically, works created by creators. If this work is done well, it will help the public, especially the young, access works rich in content and artistic form, while also opening up opportunities for artists to commercialize their works, helping them make a living from their profession.

In the coming time, the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation will continue to strive to build a system of Creative Houses to become a destination for artists nationwide. The Center has set out a number of key directions, including: Maintaining the annual organization of 60 creative camps in all fields; focusing on in-depth investment for artists to create long-term works, and carry out valuable works.

In addition, the center also promotes the application of information technology, digitizing data on works and authors; organizes the Announcement Ceremony of typical works and projects every two years; closely coordinates with literary and artistic associations in orienting topics, improving artistic quality; enhances international exchanges and cooperation; promotes works, and introduces Vietnamese culture; develops service activities according to regulations, creates revenue to improve facilities, and enhances the quality of services for artists.

With the achieved results and clear orientation, the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation continues to affirm its role as a prestigious unit, contributing to nurturing and encouraging creative talents, making practical contributions to the development of the country's literature and art.
