Vietnam women's volleyball team lost to world-class team

(Dan Tri) - In a friendly match that took place on the evening of August 17 in Hanoi, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team lost to the very strong Spanish team with a score of 0-3.

This is a match in preparation for the World Volleyball Championship, taking place from August 22 to September 7 in Thailand.

The Vietnamese women's volleyball team played a friendly match with Spain to get used to the level of the world's top teams. In contrast, Spain played against coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team to get used to the weather and time zone in the Far East, before going to Thailand to participate in the world tournament.

Better skills, combined with the physical advantage, helped the Spanish girls be more precise in their attacks. The spikes of the athletes from Europe caused many difficulties for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team's blockers.

However, the Vietnamese athletes played quite resiliently. We only lost by a small margin of 22-25 in the first half.

In the second half, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team made some adjustments, but still could not bridge the huge gap in skill level. In the second half, we lost again with a score of 18-25.

In the third set, the Spanish women's volleyball team won 25-20. In the end, they won 3-0 (25-22, 25-18 and 25-20) against the Vietnamese women's team.

At this year's world championship, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will compete against Poland on August 23, Germany on August 25 and Kenya on August 27. Of these, Poland and Germany are European representatives, while Kenya is the representative from Africa.
