More than 3,600 passengers from the Costa Serena cruise ship (Italy) visited Phu Quoc

According to Director of Kien Giang Department of Tourism Bui Quoc Thai, sea tourism is a quality service with high spending. In 2023, a number of businesses have submitted registrations, and it is expected that Phu Quoc will welcome a number of sea tourism ships in the near future.

However, conditions for receiving large cruise ships at the pearl island are still difficult because the international passenger port is not yet complete, so passengers have to be transferred via small boats (tenders) to dock.

International tourists transfer by tender to Bach Dang Park, Phu Quoc City, morning of May 21.

“To welcome foreign tourists traveling by cruise ship, Kien Giang is urgently completing infrastructure to serve tourism, especially soon completing Phu Quoc international passenger port, with maximum capacity to receive ships serving up to 6,000 passengers,” said comrade Bui Quoc Thai.

Costa Serena is known as a luxury castle in the middle of the ocean. The ship is over 290m long, 35.5m wide, 62m high... On board there are many swimming pools, jacuzzis, luxury restaurants and full entertainment areas, amenities to fully meet the needs of exploration and enjoyment of tourists.
