In addition to the battery rental option for the Honda ICON e: electric motorbike, Honda Vietnam has added the option to buy a battery for this model.

Honda Vietnam has just announced the policy of selling batteries with the ICON e: electric motorbike. Specifically: The suggested retail price for each battery is 9.62 million VND (including 8% VAT) or 9.8 million VND (including 10% VAT). Batteries purchased with the vehicle are warranted for 2 years, while batteries purchased separately for replacement or addition are warranted for 1 year.

Notably, from September 15, Honda Vietnam will also implement a policy of reselling leased batteries. The selling price is calculated based on the rental fee paid and the actual usage time.

The purchased battery will be warranted if the capacity is above 80%, with a warranty period of 2 years minus the number of months used.

In addition, customers who purchase rented batteries will still be able to maintain the accompanying insurance packages, including: civil liability insurance, personal accident insurance for passengers (1 year) and battery damage insurance, with specific terms for each type.

The purchased battery will be warranted if the capacity is above 80%, with a warranty period of 2 years minus the number of months used.

All procedures for converting from battery rental to battery purchase, payment, and signing of battery purchase confirmation will be done on the My Honda+ application.

Previously, customers buying ICON e electric motorbikes: could choose flexible monthly or multi-month rental packages depending on their needs, with costs ranging from 3.5 - 4.2 million VND/year. In addition to the monthly battery rental cost, customers also need to pay an additional 2 million VND for the battery deposit, which is kept throughout the battery rental period.
