Land of historical value
Hong Van was formed a long time ago, this land owns a system of relics (including 16 relics, including 1 national historical relic, 2 city historical relics) and a rich folk cultural treasure.
The most special is the legend of Chu Dong Tu - Tien Dung associated with the system of relics of Cam Co communal house, Van La communal house and Ong Gia new market - where Chu Dong Tu's father, Chu Cu Van, used to sell fish, is imprinted.

In 2020, Ong Gia New Market was recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization as "The oldest market associated with the legend of Chu Dong Tu and his son during the Hung King period".
Hong Van is a commune that worships the Three Saints Chu Dong Tu and his two wives at Van La communal house and Cam Co communal house. In the 18th century, Van La communal house was relocated and rebuilt at its current location. The communal house still preserves many valuable artifacts and 47 royal decrees of feudal dynasties, dating from the 17th to 20th centuries.
Cam Co communal house was built during the Le Trung Hung period. In addition, in the commune there are other related relics such as Chu Cu Van temple, Thuan Vy communal house (destroyed), Tien beach, Market alley, Ong Gia new market... forming the core area and cultural, historical and spiritual space about the legend of Chu Dong Tu - Tien Dung.
The relics worshiping Saint Chu Dong Tu and his two wives on Hong Van land in particular and the worship of tutelary gods of the Vietnamese people in the Northern Delta in general are not only unique architectural works but also places to preserve a legend with deep humanistic values about loyalty to the country, love between couples, gratitude to the tutelary gods who have contributed to building the village, and the sense of community solidarity formed and nurtured over thousands of years, creating the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people.
Over the years, this system of relics has made an important contribution to the development of spiritual and cultural tourism products in Hong Van commune.
Associated with the Chu Dong Tu worshiping relic system is the Love Festival - an activity honoring the noble, humane, and immortal values of the Chu Dong Tu - Tien Dung legend on the land of Hong Van.
The Love Festival is restored and held annually to promote the image of Hong Van land and people along with indigenous cultural values, and at the same time introduce Hong Van Village Tourism Site - one of 6 pilot models for developing agricultural and rural tourism in Hanoi in the period of 2021 - 2025 with unique tourism products.
Unique eco-tourism destination combined with various types of services
Hong Van Commune is also known for two famous bonsai craft villages, Xam Xuyen and Co Giao. The skills of the artisans in the craft villages are highly appreciated for creating many beautiful and valuable bonsai art works. Visiting the bonsai craft villages in Hong Van, tourists will be immersed in unique bonsai art works, experiencing "a day as a bonsai artist" with many attractive activities.

Talking to reporters of the Vietnam Law Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hong Van Commune said: The most important factor in making Hong Van an attractive tourist destination is focusing on organizing and implementing plans to build, develop and promote, connect tourism activities of the commune and link with localities; pay attention to investing in building essential infrastructure for tourism, supporting experience areas, tourism service points to invest, promote and serve tourists.
"The tourism and service economy of Hong Van Tourist Area continues to account for a high proportion of economic sectors and brings practical socio-economic efficiency to the commune, changing the production method, improving people's lives, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development achievements of the commune. At the same time, it is a vivid demonstration of the orientation of developing community tourism economy in rural communes with potential in culture, specialized agricultural products and advantages in exploiting tourism services."
Hong Van is one of two tourist destinations ranked by the City as a 4-star OCOP and selected to develop community tourism and high-quality rural tourism. In 2022, Hong Van was recognized by the City as a model new rural commune. From this foundation, Hong Van builds a smart new rural commune in the fields of culture and tourism.
In parallel, Hong Van is also included in the planning for eco-tourism development and the green belt of the City. These are favorable "steps" for Hong Van to strive to become an attractive destination for tourists by 2025; making trade, services, and tourism a key economic sector.

Currently, Hong Van commune has been focusing on implementing the Project "Building and developing tourism, trade, services, and craft villages in Hong Van commune in the period of 2020 - 2025 and the following years" to maximize the potential and advantages of natural and social conditions; especially the advantages of converting crop structure, trade infrastructure, services, craft villages, the legendary value of Chu Dong Tu - Tien Dung, the worship of Mother Goddesses and traditional indigenous cultural values...
From there, create unique and diverse products to serve tourists; create jobs for local workers, promote socio-economic development of the commune; gradually turn Hong Van into one of the centers connecting trade, services, tourism in the region and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the whole district with trade, tourism, services, and craft villages as the main drivers.
Currently, Hong Van serves tourists with a variety of forms, promising to bring new feelings, creating relaxation after tiring working days. Tourists can enjoy interesting things here through various forms.
Regarding cultural tourism: Tourists will be able to visit, listen to guides and introductions about works, cultural sites, documents, customs, religious practices, festivals... about the Legend of Chu Dong Tu - Tien Dung and traditional indigenous cultural values on Hong Van land.
