Attending the Press Conference were: Comrade Dao Thi Thanh Nhan - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; representatives of departments and branches: Department of Agriculture and Environment, Tan Phong Ward People's Committee; leaders and experts of specialized departments under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of central and local press agencies, reporters and major Fanpages of the province attending in person and online via Zoom.
In his opening speech, comrade Luu Hong Phuong emphasized: The Tourism - Culture Week and the 2nd Lai Chau Marathon in 2025 were organized to concretize the spirit of Resolution No. 04-NQ/TU dated February 17, 2021 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural identities of ethnic groups associated with tourism development in the period of 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.
The event is organized on a provincial scale, taking place from November 28 to 30, 2025, with the goal of widely promoting the image of Lai Chau land and people, honoring the traditional cultural identity of ethnic minorities, and introducing unique destinations and tourism products of the locality.
With the theme “Returning to the majestic Lai Chau peaks”, this year’s Tourism and Culture Week is expected to create a widespread influence, opening up opportunities to attract businesses, investors, and travel companies to research and cooperate in tourism development. In particular, the 2nd Lai Chau Marathon in 2025 continues to be a special highlight, with the goal of spreading the sports spirit in the community, promoting the beautiful, pristine routes of Lai Chau to athletes and tourists nationwide.
At the Press Conference, delegates and reporters watched the program's trailer and were provided with a press release by the Organizing Committee, along with key information about the content, goals, significance and main activities of this year's event.
During the discussion, many questions were raised by reporters regarding activities within the framework of the Tourism - Culture Week and Marathon, the roadmap for organizing main programs, plans to ensure safety on the race track, reception of athletes and visitors, and communication orientation before, during and after the event.
The questions were answered directly by the Organizing Committee, demonstrating the receptiveness and responsibility in providing official information to the press.
At the Press Conference, Comrade Dao Thi Thanh Nhan - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department spoke about the orientation of information work, emphasizing the need to strengthen coordination between media agencies to strongly spread the event to the masses, especially introducing the image of Lai Chau as a safe, friendly destination, rich in cultural identity and unique experiences. She also highly appreciated the initiative of the Organizing Committee in preparing, ensuring the quality and progress of implementing activities.
In his concluding remarks, Comrade Luu Hong Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, member of the Organizing Committee, emphasized: The press conference has completed the program as planned. At the meeting, the Organizing Committee received many comments and suggestions from the press agencies and will seriously consider them so that the organization work can be implemented synchronously, thoughtfully, safely, creating a good impression in the hearts of the people and tourists.
