Audiences are "crazy" about the movie "Red Rain", Lai Chau Cinema adds extra screenings

On November 22, 2025, the Center for Culture and Arts organized a free screening of the movie “Red Rain”. After many days of anticipation, the 2025 Vietnamese blockbuster created a fever at Lai Chau Cinema. The number of seats was not enough to serve, so the Center had to add 3 more screenings the next day.

The movie “Red Rain” directed by Dang Thai Huyen is a film about the Vietnamese revolutionary struggle that made a big splash when it was released on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of our country. The film recreates the 81-day and night battle to protect Quang Tri Citadel – one of the most important and fierce battles, contributing to the victory of our nation in the resistance war against the US to save the country.

With a plot, historical setting, eye-catching scenes, realistically depicting the fierceness of war and the indomitable fighting spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the film has created a strong wave of emotions for the audience and achieved an unprecedented achievement in Vietnamese cinema with a revenue of nearly 714 billion VND after just over 1 month of release.

Since the movie stopped charging for cinema screenings on August 28, 2025, audiences across the country have been waiting for the movie to be widely shown so they can enjoy it. The first free movie screening at Lai Chau Cinema took place at 7:00 p.m. on November 22, 2025, attracting a large audience in Lai Chau city. 1 hour before the movie started, the auditorium was full. After that, the number of audiences continued to increase, many people had to leave because there was no more room.

Understanding the increasing demand for movie viewing, the Center decided to add 3 more screenings on November 23, 2025 at the following times: 8:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Information and schedule of the free screening of the movie “Red Rain” at Lai Chau Cinema posted on the media and social networks have also received attention, strong sharing and positive feedback from audiences in the province. Many audiences expressed their hope that Lai Chau Cinema will soon be upgraded to meet the increasing demand for cinema enjoyment of audiences in the province.
