Cold air strengthens, risk of heavy rain

The North is about to welcome a cold spell, the temperature will drop. The Central region is at risk of rain again.

On the morning of November 23, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warned that a cold air mass is currently moving southward from the North. Around the afternoon and night of November 24, the cold air mass will affect the Northeast and North Central regions, then affect the Northwest and North Central regions.

The Meteorological and Hydrological Agency warns that from November 25, the weather will be cold in the North and North Central regions, with some areas in the high mountains of the North experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North and North Central regions will generally be 12-15 degrees Celsius, and in the high mountains, some places will be below 10 degrees Celsius.

Due to the impact of cold air and high altitude easterly winds, the area from Hue city, Da Nang city and the east of Quang Ngai province to Gia Lai will have widespread heavy rain.

In a detailed warning about the upcoming rains, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that from the morning of November 23 to the morning of November 25, Hue City, Da Nang City and the eastern part of Quang Ngai to Gia Lai provinces will have moderate to heavy rain with a common amount of 60-110mm, locally over 220mm. At the same time, during the day and night of November 23, the eastern part of Dak Lak , Khanh Hoa and the southern region will have showers of 10-30mm, locally over 60mm. From the afternoon and night of November 25, heavy rains in the Central region will tend to decrease.
