Meeting and exchange on the occasion of the Theatre Ancestor's Death Anniversary

(HGO) - On September 25 (August 12 of the lunar calendar), on the occasion of Vietnam Theater Day, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) of the province organized a meeting and exchange on the occasion of the Theater Ancestor's Death Anniversary at the Provincial Cultural Center.

Attending the event were Mr. Dinh Van Hong, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, departments, branches, organizations, units under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Culture - Information, cultural, sports and broadcasting centers of districts, towns and cities, along with writers and artists.

Here, the incense offering ceremony and the ritual of offering incense and inviting ancestors were solemnly performed. Artists performed art together, recalling memories of their careers and artistic love.

Mr. Tran Van Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, reviewed the tradition of the theater industry and sent his best wishes to all artists, artisans, and brothers and sisters working in the industry for good health, greater efforts in artistic creation, and the creation of more and more works of high artistic value, contributing to the implementation of political tasks and meeting the needs of people in the province to enjoy and appreciate art. Wishing the Hau Giang theater industry to always develop sustainably, contributing to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of the nation on the path of integration and development.

At the ceremony, the artists performed many special performances to honor the ancestors of the profession : Meritorious Artist Kim Kheo with 16 verses of Luu Thuy Truong, amateur singing "New Day in the Homeland", composed by Meritorious Artist Van Tam; singing and dancing "Thanks to the Three Holy Ancestors", composed by Nguyen Minh Anh, performed by Quynh Nhu - Quoc Huy in collaboration with the dance group, singing and dancing "Love song of Hau Giang - Hau Giang proud song", composed by Son Ha - Duc Phu, choreographed by Meritorious Artist Nhat Danh performed by artists of the Provincial Cultural Center.
