Meeting to review preparations for organizing activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation Day

Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

At the meeting, leaders of departments and branches, Long Xuyen City People's Committee reported on the progress and preparations for the ceremony to visit the provincial martyrs' cemetery, the flower offering ceremony at the statue of President Ton Duc Thang and the incense offering ceremony at the memorial site of President Ton Duc Thang (on the morning of April 26); visit and present gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces and families of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services to the revolution (scheduled from April 20 to 29); organize a meeting to celebrate the 50th anniversary (afternoon of April 26).

Up to now, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism together with professional agencies, Long Xuyen City People's Committee have deployed tasks (logistics, reception, program script development, security and order, traffic safety, etc.) to organize commemorative activities to ensure the progress and assigned tasks.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy noted that relevant units should speed up the progress of work according to assigned tasks. Based on comments, units should review logistics and reception stages, promptly and fully issue invitations. Units should be requested to organize a series of thoughtful and solemn commemorative activities, ensuring meaning, content and security and order. Regularly review and adjust tasks in the direction of clear people and clear work, ensuring success, in accordance with the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee.
