Phu Yen General Hospital has just been awarded the Gold Certificate for stroke treatment by the World Stroke Organization (WSO). This is the result of a period of collaboration between this unit and People's Hospital 115 (Ho Chi Minh City) to improve the level of stroke diagnosis and treatment. Doctor CKII Tran Anh Dung, Director of this hospital, said: "People's Hospital 115 is one of the leading units in the country in cerebrovascular intervention. When experts here share their experiences and provide professional guidance, Phu Yen General Hospital has completed the process of stroke examination and treatment. From here, stroke patients in the old Phu Yen province and neighboring areas do not have to be transferred to distant hospitals."

Since the beginning of the year, Phu Yen Eye Hospital has cooperated with many organizations and units to improve the techniques of examination and treatment of eye diseases. Typically, it has cooperated with Santen Vietnam Pharmaceutical Company Limited to organize scientific activities on the topic "Understanding Glaucoma with OCT (Optical CT Scan) - from theory to practice"; cooperated with Fred Hollows Foundation (FHF - an Australian non-governmental organization on eye care and blindness prevention) to conduct an in-depth workshop on improving the quality of continuous eye care services...

From the joint projects, doctors of Phu Yen Eye Hospital are trained in depth in examining and treating eye diseases. The unit also put into use a new generation OCT scanner. This is a device with the ability to create detailed, non-invasive and high-resolution images, effectively supporting doctors in making more accurate and effective decisions on treating eye diseases. "Cooperation with world medical organizations and specialized ophthalmology units will help the unit catch up with modern medical examination and treatment technology as well as advanced specialized techniques," affirmed Dr. CKI Huynh Phuc Nhi, Director of Phu Yen Eye Hospital.

Viet My Phu Yen Hospital has also just signed a cooperation agreement with Saigon ITO Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City). Mr. Truong Tan Luc, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Viet My Phu Yen Hospital, said that Saigon ITO Hospital is a specialized hospital in orthopedics. After signing the cooperation agreement, Viet My Phu Yen Hospital will be supported in professional training, coordinated in organizing examinations, treatments and technology transfer in the field of orthopedic trauma surgery. Thereby, strengthening the quality of medical examinations, treatment and health care for patients.

Not only the hospitals at the grassroots level, recently, the Provincial Department of Health has also built a cooperation program with Nevers City Hospital - French Republic in 3 main areas including training and experience sharing; organizing training, sharing experiences on diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular - thoracic diseases, oncology, hematology, and hemodialysis; exchanging and sharing information on international events, conferences, and seminars on health.

According to the provincial Department of Health, from this program, 4 excellent doctors from the Central Highlands General Hospital and Phu Yen General Hospital were sent for intensive training at Nevers City Hospital for 1 year. This will be a high-quality human resource contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for these 2 general hospitals to operate more and more effectively.
