At the opening ceremony of the 24th China Textile and Apparel Trade Fair in Manhattan (New York), Mr. Hoang Binh affirmed: “In the past few years, the world has undergone profound changes. China-US relations face a number of challenges, but there are things that remain constant. First, economic and trade cooperation between China and the US is mutually beneficial. Second, the high mutual support and interdependence between the two countries. The textile and apparel industry is a typical example.”
According to him, China is the world's number 1 producer, exporter and consumer of textiles, owning the largest and most complete textile industrial network, while the US is also a leading textile consumer.
Therefore, Mr. Hoang Binh said that the textile and garment industries of the two countries need to "seize opportunities, strengthen cooperation, and contribute to the healthy, stable and sustainable development of US-China economic and trade relations".
