Huna's Home Green Herb Cooperative (Tan Hoa Ward, Hoa Binh City) is one of the cooperatives that exploits local strengths, creates many natural products that are safe for users and creates jobs for workers. The cooperative produces herbal foot bath powder products, dishwashing liquid products, shampoos, herbal cleaning solutions, herbal hair and skin care products... The cooperative supplies 100 agents and distributors inside and outside the province, with revenue reaching 400 - 500 million VND, creating regular jobs for 10 workers, with income from 3 - 5 million VND/person/month.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Dao in Tan Hoa ward, Hoa Binh city said: When I was young, I was accepted to work in many places. When I got older, my health was no longer suitable for hard work and long distance travel. Since the establishment of Huna's Home Green Herb Cooperative, I applied to work. The work here is suitable for my health, I don't have to travel far and I have a stable income. The cooperative creates conditions for workers to pay social insurance so that when they are old, they have something to rely on. Working close to home, I can still take advantage of my time to take care of family affairs.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc, in Thia hamlet, Yen Mong commune, Hoa Binh city said: I am both a member and a worker for the Huna's Home Green Herb Cooperative's production workshop. Taking advantage of my family's garden area, I grow medicinal herbs for processing. In the past, thanks to the Cooperative, I have had a regular job.
In recent years, the widespread use of chemicals in the production and processing of products by many establishments has harmed the health of consumers. Therefore, people are more interested in natural products. The medicinal plant industry has therefore opened up new opportunities. In particular, the medicinal plant cooperative model has emerged as an ideal solution, not only contributing to the preservation and development of valuable genetic resources but also creating a series of flexible and sustainable leisure jobs for people. Cooperatives can carry out many part-time jobs, suitable to the ability and time fund of each member. For members, associated households take advantage of garden land, bare hills and barren land to grow indigenous medicinal plants. Cooperatives purchase and hire labor to produce safe products for consumers.
Ms. Vu Thi Nga, Director of Huna's Home Green Herb Cooperative, shared: Hoa Binh has advantages in developing medicinal herbs due to its climate and soil. The Cooperative cooperates with many households in Yen Thuy, Lac Son, Luong Son districts... to create stable jobs for workers. Over time, the Cooperative's products have been favored by many people. This is a very positive development direction. It is not only an effective economic model but also a sustainable way to create livelihoods, improve lives and contribute to preserving and promoting the value of medicinal plants in Hoa Binh.
