According to information from Giacaphe.com, coffee prices today, June 4, 2025, in key areas in the Central Highlands have had remarkable developments.

Specifically, coffee prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong both decreased by VND2,500/kg, down to VND114,000/kg. Similarly, coffee prices in Lam Dong also decreased by VND2,500/kg, down to VND113,500/kg. Gia Lai recorded a decrease of VND2,600/kg, reaching VND113,700/kg.
Notably, the average pepper price also remained stable at 145,000 VND/kg. However, the USD/VND exchange rate increased slightly to 25,864 VND/USD, showing that the Vietnamese Dong is showing a weakening trend compared to the US Dollar.
The decline reflects pressure from ample supplies in Brazil and Indonesia, along with rising global inventories, while rising shipping costs and concerns about new tariffs have slowed domestic trading.
In general, the Vietnamese coffee market today has a downward trend, with a decrease of VND2,500 to VND2,600/kg in key regions. This can be explained by the abundant supply after the peak harvest. However, the weakening of the Vietnamese Dong against the USD is also a factor to note, as it can affect the export price of Vietnamese coffee in the world market.

In the world market, coffee prices continued to be under strong downward pressure as hedge funds sold to clear short contracts on both major exchanges.
Supply pressure from Brazil and Indonesia, combined with global trade tensions, is adding to market uncertainty. While Vietnamese companies are boosting exports to Southeast Asia and China, Vietnamese coffee prices are currently higher than those of competitors, reducing its appeal.
In this context, international coffee prices on June 5, 2025 are likely to continue to decline, especially Robusta and Arabica, when there are no clear reversal signals from the global market.
