Responding to "Action Month for the Vietnamese Elderly" in 2024

Leaders of the Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tho province presented gifts to elderly members in difficult circumstances in Tam Nong district.

Phu Tho province currently has more than 220,000 elderly members. With the theme "Joining hands to protect, care for and promote the role of the elderly" in the Action Month 2024, the Association of the Elderly at all levels in the province continues to be creative and proactive in organizing activities and movements for the elderly; thereby expanding and enriching the Association's activities, creating a useful playground suitable for the elderly, implementing the motto "The elderly live happily, healthily, and happily".
Strive to ensure that 100% of poor elderly people and elderly people in difficult circumstances are cared for and assisted in various forms, appropriate to actual conditions. At the same time, care, encourage and create conditions to promote the role, prestige, experience and intelligence of the elderly, contributing to the successful implementation of local economic , cultural and social development goals.

Free medical examination, consultation and medicine distribution for elderly members in Hung Hoa town, Tam Nong district.

The launching ceremony of the "Action Month for the Vietnamese Elderly" in 2024 of Phu Tho province was held in Tam Nong district. Here, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Representative Board of the Elderly Association of Phu Tho province Nguyen Hai, together with leaders of Tam Nong district and sponsors, presented 20 gifts to elderly members in difficult circumstances of Hung Hoa town and Huong Non commune.

Also at the program, doctors and medical staff from Saigon - Phu Tho Eye Hospital and Hung Hoa Town Health Station examined, consulted and provided free medicine to the elderly. The Representative Board of the Elderly Association organized training on establishing and managing intergenerational self-help clubs and provided guidance on professional skills, field techniques and training on the Law on organizing Squash competitions for the elderly, thereby promoting the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", improving the health and spiritual and cultural life of the elderly.
