Go Cong Dong District: The model "Joining hands to care for, educate, and protect the community" has achieved many outstanding results.

The model "Joining hands to care for, educate, and protect the community" is deployed according to Project No. 02-DA/HU dated March 31, 2023 of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, aiming to promote the combined strength of the entire political system and the whole society in caring for and protecting vulnerable groups in the community.

In 2024, the model has recorded many outstanding results: Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and organizations have actively promoted and mobilized people to participate in implementation. Many practical activities have been organized such as: Supporting the disadvantaged, helping poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households, taking care of community health, and rehabilitating law violators to reintegrate into the community.

At the same time, carry out environmental protection activities such as: Dredging streams, collecting waste, planting flowers and trees on the roads...

Many localities also link the implementation of the model with the construction of advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas. In particular, Tan Dong commune was selected as a pilot and fully and effectively implemented the model contents according to the plan, and was recognized as a model new rural commune, one of the bright spots of the model.

Comrade Tran Cong Viet, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing the model.

Comrade Le Hong Tam, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the model.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Cong Viet, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council, Head of the Model Steering Committee acknowledged and commended the positive results that the model has brought.

He suggested that in the coming time, it is necessary to continue promoting the role of the political system from the district to the grassroots level; strengthen coordination between sectors in the work of educating and reforming people at risk of violating the law; and strongly mobilize social resources to sustainably care for the disadvantaged.

He also emphasized the key role of mass organizations in connecting the community, spreading the spirit of humanity and social responsibility, contributing to the effective implementation of the policy of "leaving no one behind".

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Go Cong Dong district awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the model "Joining hands to care for, educate and protect the community" in the district.
