In 2024, the company increased its charter capital from VND 16,480 billion to VND 17,944 billion, officially becoming one of the three life insurance companies with the largest charter capital in the market. This is a strategic step to strengthen financial capacity and affirm its commitment to long-term development in Vietnam.
In parallel with the capital increase, Sun Life Vietnam has also continuously expanded its nationwide office network and diversified its distribution channels to reach customers more effectively. These efforts are supported by a series of digital transformation initiatives and operational process improvements.
Digital transformation - the pillar of improving customer experience
One of Sun Life Vietnam’s top priorities in recent times has been to accelerate digital transformation to enhance customer experience. The company has deployed many technology solutions, notably the Customer Contact Center, Salesforce CRM system and 360-degree database, helping to improve customer care and support in an efficient and seamless manner.
Thanks to these efforts, customer satisfaction increased by 30% from January to October 2024, while call connection success rate increased by nearly 5 times. These results show a clear change in the service experience journey.
In 2024, Sun Life Vietnam was awarded the “Life Insurance Company with the Best Customer Service - Vietnam 2024” by International Finance Magazine (UK). This is a testament to the company's efforts in optimizing customer experience through a differentiated technology platform and services.

At the end of the year, Sun Life Vietnam signed a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding with FPT Corporation to leverage advanced technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence, telecommunications infrastructure and online payments. The goal is to improve service quality, especially in the insurance claim and settlement process - a key step to increase customer trust and satisfaction.
Spread positive values to the young generation
Not only focusing on business development, Sun Life Vietnam also actively implements many programs aimed at the community, especially the youth - the next generation in the journey to build a sustainable financial future.
The campaign “Finance for yourself, optimism by yourself” is a clear demonstration of this commitment. Launched in May 2024, the program has implemented extracurricular financialeducation activities for primary and secondary school students. The program helps children access financial management skills early, thereby forming a positive mindset about financial planning from an early age.

In parallel, in 2023-2024, Sun Life Vietnam will cooperate with Saigon Heat basketball club to organize High Hoops Day in 5 major cities, attracting more than 4,000 children to practice basketball skills, build team spirit and competitive spirit, and raise awareness about physical health care for children.
In April 2024, the company continued to launch the “Sun Life Sports Space” with a standard basketball court, tournament organization, free classes and coach training sessions to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people.
In the field of higher education, Sun Life Vietnam signed a 5-year strategic partnership with the University of Waterloo (Canada) from January 2025 to January 2030. The program aims to connect Vietnamese students with international educational environments, support financial planning for studying abroad, and create internship and recruitment opportunities at Sun Life.
At the same time, Sun Life also cooperates with RMIT University to organize a series of seminars, scholarship and internship programs, helping students develop skills, career orientation and practical experience in a professional working environment.
