People of Thong Nhat commune (Lac Thuy) invest in cattle farming to develop the economy and increase income.
The district has 8/10 communes and towns in the ethnic minority area, 15 extremely disadvantaged villages in 4 communes and towns. In recent years, the district has effectively organized and implemented ethnic minority programs, projects and policies, so the ethnic minority area has been invested in step by step to complete infrastructure, electricity, roads, schools, stations, cultural houses... increasingly spacious; national defense and political security are maintained, social order and safety are ensured; attention is paid to supporting production development, thereby stabilizing people's lives, gradually improving, and the face of the countryside is increasingly changing.
The District People's Committee has issued many documents directing specialized agencies to manage, monitor, guide, and inspect the implementation of ethnic affairs and ethnic policies; directing investors of projects and sub-projects to focus on accelerating the implementation progress and disbursing capital plans to ensure completion according to plan.
The work of coordinating propaganda and mobilizing ethnic minorities to implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws and policies is carried out regularly. Every year, policies and regimes for prestigious people are well implemented, and training is organized to equip knowledge, skills, and improve the capacity of cadres working on ethnic affairs at the grassroots level.
Program 135, phase 2016 - 2020, with a budget of nearly 40 billion VND, supports investment in building 66 infrastructure facilities for communes and villages in the ethnic minority areas, contributing to fundamentally changing the infrastructure structure of the ethnic minority areas, promoting socio-economic development, reducing poverty; supporting projects on raising livestock and poultry, growing fruit trees, purchasing machinery for agricultural production, etc.
The national target program for socio-economic development in the ethnic minority and mountainous regions for the period 2021 - 2025 with a central budget of VND 55,735 million invested in 10 projects (development investment capital of VND 29,000 million, career capital of VND 26,735 million). Accordingly, investing in 2 centralized domestic water works; supporting housing for 43 poor households, supporting job conversion for 42 poor households in Thong Nhat commune; supporting decentralized domestic water for 527 poor households in the form of supporting water tanks; supporting community production development in 15 ethnic minority villages with 4 chicken raising projects, 17 breeding cow raising projects; supporting investment in infrastructure of ethnic minority villages, including 42 traffic works, 6 irrigation works, 10 village cultural houses; 5 educational works; 3 auxiliary works of the Commune People's Committee; Organized 29 vocational training classes for rural workers in the ethnic minority region...
Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Van, Vice Chairman of Lac Thuy District People's Committee said: With the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect", the implementation of the contents of people's discussion, people's participation, supervision and inspection has been well implemented by most communes, especially issues directly related to the people. The district continues to promote propaganda and mobilization in the direction of innovating methods and methods to raise awareness of the entire political system and people about self-awareness, proactive participation in implementation and supervision of the implementation process.
Focus on investment, prioritize human resource development, improve people's knowledge associated with training, vocational training, and job creation for ethnic minorities. Do a good job of fighting against activities that take advantage of ethnic issues, promptly resolve petitions and complaints from the people, and prevent hot spots of security, social order and safety in ethnic minority areas. Strengthen inspection, supervision, and evaluation in the process of organizing and implementing national target programs, other projects and policies that are invested and supported in the district.
