The 5th concert season of Hanoi Concert not only continues the annual tradition but also marks the return of the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) with the legendary conductor Sir Antonio Pappano - a famous conductor with a powerful conducting style, who has left his mark on many major stages in London.
Named one of the world’s most influential conductors by Musical America magazine, Sir Antonio Pappano not only inspires an orchestra but also tells stories through sound, where every note, every silence is filled with emotion and philosophy. Over the past three decades, he has conquered the world’s most prestigious orchestras, from the Berliner Philharmoniker to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.

Under the baton of World Music Legend Sir Antonio Pappano, this year's program opened with the National Anthem of musician Van Cao, arranged by musician Luu Quang Minh and performed by the symphony orchestra, demonstrating the connection between international classical music and national pride.
At Hanoi Concert 2025, Sir Antonio Pappano and the London Symphony Orchestra will bring Hanoi audiences to sublimate in the immortal masterpieces of humanity such as : Symphony No. 5 - "Fateful Symphony" by Beethoven - a symbol of will and belief in victory, or Symphony No. 10 by Shostakovich - a tragic picture reflecting the upheavals of the 20th century. The combination of Beethoven - Shostakovich creates a dramatic musical "dialogue", where the spirit of pride meets the sharp, multi-layered tone.

With a history of more than a century and brilliant marks on global stages, the London Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Sir Antonio Pappano promises to bring the Capital two memorable concert nights.
Hanoi Concert 2025 takes place on October 10 and 11 at the Hoan Kiem Theater, Hanoi. All tickets were sold out after 3 days of sale. However, the audience can watch the international concert live on October 11, 2025 via the large LED screen located at the Suicide Monument, Hoan Kiem Lake Walking Street from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

In the symphony world, LSO is considered one of the most prestigious and influential orchestras. The orchestra's return to Hanoi for the fourth time as part of the Hanoi Concert affirms the prestige of the event, while also demonstrating Vietnam's increasingly elevated position on the global classical music map.
