Vinh Cuu district received 100% consensus to meet advanced new rural standards

(DN) - On the morning of April 25, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang chaired a working session of the Steering Committee for the province's national target programs for the period 2021-2025 to evaluate and vote to propose the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to consider, appraise, and recognize Vinh Cuu district as meeting the standards of an advanced new rural district in 2024.

Accordingly, at the working session, 100% of the evaluation votes of the Steering Committee of the provincial national target programs for the period 2021-2025 agreed that Vinh Cuu district will meet the advanced new rural standards in 2024.

Up to now, Vinh Cuu district has 9/9 communes meeting new rural standards, 8/9 communes meeting advanced new rural standards, 2/9 communes meeting model new rural standards according to the criteria set for the period 2021-2025. The highlight is that the material and spiritual life of people in the district has clearly improved, the average income per capita by the end of 2024 will reach 89 million VND/person/year.

In the process of building an advanced new rural district, the district has built and replicated a number of typical models, such as: Wisdom House, Bright, green, clean, beautiful roads, Friendly toilets, Grapefruit production according to VietGAP standards and using drones to spray pesticides, Using indigenous microorganisms (IMO)...

In the period of 2017-2024, the district has focused on mobilizing many resources to build advanced new rural areas with a total investment capital of nearly 6.3 trillion VND.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang requested the Provincial Steering Committee for National Target Programs for the 2021-2025 period to review the documents once again and the Provincial People's Committee Office to complete the remaining procedures. It is expected that on April 26, Dong Nai province will submit the documents of Cam My and Vinh Cuu districts to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for consideration, appraisal and recognition of the two districts meeting the standards of advanced new rural districts in 2024.
