Long An organizes Vesak 2025 - Buddhist calendar 2569

On the morning of May 12 (April 15th of the lunar calendar), the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Long An province solemnly organized the Vesak 2025 - Buddhist year 2569. Attending were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department - Hoang Dinh Can; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa.

At the ceremony, the Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province - Most Venerable Thich Minh Thien read the message of the 2569th Buddha's Birthday of the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the speech of the 2569th Buddha's Birthday of the Supreme Elder, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

The message and speech call on the Buddhist community and all humanity to work together to build a united world towards the noble goal of creating a peaceful , happy and prosperous planet.

Speaking at the ceremony, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa respectfully acknowledged and highly appreciated the practical and meaningful contributions of the Buddhist Sangha, monks, nuns and Buddhists in the construction and socio -economic development of the province in recent times.

According to statistics, from the beginning of the year to the end of March 2025, the total value of charitable and social activities of the provincial Buddhist Sangha reached nearly 20 billion VND. In particular, the active response to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Prime Minister stood out.
