According to News 18 , an iPhone that fell from Alaska Airlines flight ASA 1282 in the January 5 incident was found almost intact.

The iPhone belonged to a passenger on ASA 1282 and was sucked out after the window of the Boeing 737 MAX 9 suddenly fell off. It is worth mentioning that the plane was at an altitude of more than 4,800m when the incident happened, so the fact that the iPhone was still intact is considered a miracle.

The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) also confirmed information about the lucky iPhone and it was still working well after being found in a bush.

Although the above iPhone model has not been officially confirmed, from the photos shared on social network X, it could be the iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro. The phone is also equipped with a shockproof tube.

According to social media account X named c who shared about the lucky iPhone, the phone was still in airplane mode when it was found and still had 50% battery. Seanathan Bates said this was the second phone found by the NTSB after the crash.

Alaska Airlines has temporarily grounded its fleet following the emergency exit door failure on January 5. The incident occurred shortly after ASA 1282 took off, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing shortly thereafter.

Alaska Airlines said the plane landed safely with 174 passengers and six crew members on board.

To date, Alaska Airlines and the NTSB have not found any pieces of the window from ASA 1282 after the incident.
