According to witnesses, the Israeli drone attack targeted a small tented cafe where many people had gathered to use the internet and watch football on a large screen. The incident left at least 10 people dead and many others seriously injured, including seven victims undergoing surgery at Nasser Hospital.
"This shows that Israel's claims of 'evacuation zones' and 'safe zones' are lies," said Al Jazeera's Hani Mahmoud, highlighting the dangers even in supposedly safe areas.
Earlier, medical officials at al-Awda hospital in Nuseirat, central Gaza, said 20 people were killed in a series of air and ground attacks from Israel, including tank fire on the Nuseirat refugee camp, where residents were trapped or forced to flee in panic.
In the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya, medical workers confirmed four people were killed in an airstrike. Another drone attack also targeted the Kamal Adwan hospital near Beit Lahiya, injuring three medical workers.
At a conference between the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Saudi Arabia, leaders strongly condemned the actions of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, calling it a "horrific and shocking crime".
Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said his country firmly opposes "genocide against the Palestinian people" and called on the international community to prevent any attacks on Iran in order to protect regional sovereignty .
