According to the report of the Provincial Steering Committee for Combating Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing (IUU), the implementation of anti-IUU fishing in the province has achieved many positive results, but there are still some problems and difficulties, especially in the management and supervision of the fleet. Specifically, currently, the whole province has 447 fishing vessels that do not meet the conditions for operating according to regulations, of which Nha Trang city has 186 vessels, Cam Ranh city has 69 vessels, Ninh Hoa town has 60 vessels, Van Ninh district has 130 vessels, Dien Khanh district and Cam Lam district each have 1 vessel. In addition, the whole province has 124 fishing vessels that regularly change fishing grounds and operate outside the province; of which Nha Trang city has 97 vessels, Cam Ranh city has 4 vessels, Ninh Hoa town has 14 vessels, Van Ninh district has 7 vessels and Dien Khanh district has 2 vessels.

In addition, continue to strictly manage and control fishing vessels that are not qualified to operate, at high risk of violating IUU fishing, update the location, images, and list of fishing vessels that are not qualified to operate, and periodically report monthly to the Provincial IUU Steering Committee; strengthen coordination with competent authorities of other provinces in managing fishing vessels that often change fishing grounds and operate outside the province...
