The final night of the Miss Vietnam Sea and Islands contest has just found the owner of the crown “Mission of the Sea”, that is the beauty Nguyen Thi My Linh. At the end of the contest, what remains for the public is the message expressing the love of the sea and islands of the Organizing Committee and the contestants. The contest becomes even more meaningful when it is held for the first time in the coastal city of Nha Trang.

Mission to the sea and islands of the homeland

Looking back at the journey to conquer the highest position of the contest, we see the efforts of the 20-year-old girl from Thanh Hoa province - Nguyen Thi My Linh. With a height of 1.7m, My Linh is currently a student of the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province. Participating in the Miss Vietnam Sea and Islands 2025 contest, the Thanh girl not only showed her beauty and appearance when winning the title of Contestant with the most beautiful face, but was also one of the contestants who expressed the message of the contest that the Organizing Committee wanted the beauties to spread to the public, as shared by Ms. Dam Huong Thuy - Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest: "Organizing the Miss Vietnam Sea and Islands 2025 contest, we are not only looking for a face representing the beauty of Vietnamese women, but also want to find someone who can spread the message of conservation and sustainable development of marine and island resources; showing love and awareness of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. The person who wears the Miss Vietnam Sea and Islands crown is someone who has the ability to inspire and is ready to accompany activities for the sea and islands of the homeland".

In the activities organized by the Organizing Committee for the contestants, My Linh always showed her enthusiasm. And on the final night, My Linh once again scored points with the judges and the audience with her excellent performances in ao dai, swimsuit, and evening gown. In particular, in the behavioral round, when asked: "How do you feel about the beauty of Vietnam's seas and islands?", My Linh had an answer that expressed her feelings and views: "My homeland's seas and islands are where the sky meets the water; where the Fatherland stretches out to the vast ocean. Blue sea, white sand, and golden sunshine have created a romantic natural picture, attracting domestic and international tourism , bringing in a large source of income. The beauty of the seas and islands also has healing properties, providing abundant seafood and minerals. Hoang Sa and Truong Sa are a sacred part of the motherland of Vietnam - where generations of our ancestors sacrificed and devoted themselves to preserving the seas and islands for the Fatherland. After participating in the Miss Vietnam Sea and Islands 2025 contest, I want to use my voice and actions to spread the love for the seas and islands and preserve and protect the marine and island environment. In Thanh Hoa province, I want to establish a club of young people to join hands carry out the campaign to protect Sam Son beach".

Talking to us after the coronation ceremony, My Linh said: “The title of Miss Sea and Islands Vietnam 2025 is really a surprise and this is the motivation for me to be able to carry out many activities to protect the environment, spread the love for the sea and islands. Nha Trang is a beautiful coastal city with developed tourism activities, so being crowned Miss Sea and Islands here becomes even more special for me. In the coming time, I will try to carry out many activities to contribute to promoting, introducing and protecting the beauty of Vietnam's sea and islands to domestic and international friends."

Spread love for the sea and islands

The Miss Vietnam Sea and Islands contest was first held in 2022 and the beauty crowned Miss was Dinh Nhu Phuong (from Quang Binh province). The contest aims to honor the beauty of Vietnamese women associated with the image of the sea and islands of the homeland. “The Miss Vietnam Sea and Islands contest focuses on the criteria of beauty - intelligence - courage - responsibility. We always want the contestants to keep the flame of passion, spread good values ​​to their families, communities and the country. The organizing committee will always accompany each contestant, as well as the winner of the Miss Vietnam Sea and Islands title on the journey to do that,” said Ms. Dam Huong Thuy.

As for Miss Dinh Nhu Phuong, in her 3 years as Miss Vietnam Sea and Islands, she has participated in many activities to contribute to spreading and promoting the image and beauty of Vietnam's seas and islands, from activities to protect the marine environment in Nghe An, Quang Binh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Can Gio (Ho Chi Minh City)... to charity trips to give scholarships to children in coastal areas. With that spirit, Nhu Phuong hopes that the new Miss Vietnam Sea and Islands will have a great love for the sea and islands of her homeland and fully carry out the responsibility and mission of an inspiration for the country's sea and islands.

At the end of the contest, in addition to the title of Miss Nguyen Thi My Linh, the Organizing Committee awarded the title of First Runner-up to beauty Phung Thi Thanh Hang (from Vinh Phuc province); Second Runner-up to beauty Nguyen Tuong Vy (from Hanoi).
