Hezbollah has yet to comment on Kaouk's fate, but supporters have posted messages expressing their condolences for him since September 28.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli military carried out attacks on "dozens" of Hezbollah facilities in Lebanon, two days after an airstrike killed the movement's leader Hassan Nasrallah.
A source close to Hezbollah said the Israeli airstrikes leveled six buildings, the heaviest attack on Beirut in nearly a year of conflict between Hezbollah and Israel.
Israeli television stations reported that the attack involved bombs with a total of dozens of tons of explosives.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused Israel of using "several 2.3-ton bunker-buster bombs delivered by the US to attack residential areas in Beirut."
He did not specifically mention the name of the bomb, but some experts said the Iranian official was talking about the GBU-72 line developed by the US since 2021.
