Viktor Gyokeres is one of the most sought-after strikers in the 2025 summer transfer market, with offers from top European football teams.
Italian press said Juventus is taking the "pole" in the negotiation process about the Swedish striker.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus representatives are finalizing agreements with Sporting Lisbon and Gyokeres personally.
In theory, Sporting breached their agreement with Gyokeres – known as a “gentleman’s agreement”, which allowed him to leave for a fee of €60 million plus further clauses – after making a significant contribution to the club.
This made Gyokeres unhappy and the relationship between the parties became strained.
In the past, MU through the relationship of coach Ruben Amorim repeatedly raised the issue of transfer but was always rejected by Sporting.
MU is currently holding off on negotiations with Lisbon. Meanwhile, Arsenal are said to be interested in Gyokeres but have not yet made any official move to the Sporting office.
In that context, Juventus tried to convince this 27-year-old striker with a club record salary: 13 million euros.
This offer is also far beyond what MU and Arsenal have promised for Gyokeres.
Currently, Dusan Vlahovic - who is on the list of players to be released - receives the highest salary in the Juventus squad, with 12 million euros.
The "Old Lady" wants to turn Gyokeres into the center of a new project, aiming to conquer Serie A and the Champions League 2025/26.
