During the inspection of the Ministry of National Defense's Electronic Information Portal on digital transformation, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense, emphasized that the Ministry of National Defense's Electronic Information Portal needs to be one of the leading, exemplary units, setting a benchmark in the Ministry of National Defense in applying new technologies related to digital transformation in the spirit of "optimizing work in the shortest time, most effectively and with the largest number of simultaneous tasks". At the same time, proactively research and propose policies to invest in modern, unified facilities and technology, setting a model for agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense in the field of digital transformation.

First of all, regarding the integration and sharing of information and databases of the Ministry of National Defense in the network environment, the Ministry of National Defense Electronic Information Portal has proactively deployed the construction of the Ecosystem for providing information and online public services of the Ministry of National Defense according to Decree No. 42/2022/ND-CP of the Government . Thereby, improving the effectiveness of management, inspection, supervision and evaluation of the provision of information and online public services (ODS) of agencies and units in the network environment, ensuring convenience and quality of information provision and DVS.
The Ministry of National Defense's Electronic Information Portal has integrated, connected, and linked 340 electronic information pages/portals at all levels throughout the army. Currently, in response to the requirement of strict management and improvement of the quality of operations of electronic information pages/portals throughout the army, the Ministry of National Defense's Electronic Information Portal has advised the Ministry to assign tasks to competent agencies to develop the Minister's Directive on this issue.
Along with that, the Ministry of National Defense Electronic Information Portal manages the Ministry of National Defense-level database on records and results of administrative procedure settlement of the Ministry of National Defense, including important databases in the fields of: Military service, Military recruitment, Airspace management, Protection of military works and zones, No-fly zones and restricted UAV flight zones...
Regarding the implementation of public administrative services and public services of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of National Defense Electronic Information Portal advises and directly manages, operates, promotes and develops the Ministry of National Defense's Administrative Procedures Information System. It has provided information and 213 administrative procedures (including 52 full-process public services) in 18 areas managed and resolved by the Ministry of National Defense on the Ministry of National Defense's Administrative Procedures Information System, the National Public Service Portal and the National Database of Administrative Procedures. Review, urge and coordinate with agencies and units to maintain the high ranking of the Ministry of National Defense according to the Government's scoring criteria based on Decision No. 766/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the set of indicators for serving people and businesses in implementing administrative procedures and public services in real time in the electronic environment.

In addition, the Ministry of National Defense's Electronic Information Portal is responsible for announcing, communicating, and providing official information on the leadership, direction, management, and operation activities of the Central Military Commission, the head of the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff, the General Department of Politics, etc.; military, defense, and defense diplomacy activities; guidelines, policies, and results of military and defense tasks, and activities of the entire army, etc.
The Ministry of National Defense's Electronic Information Portal is also the official spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense, the focal point for public information disclosure of the Ministry of National Defense.
