From November 12-15, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC), the Vietnam Railway Authority in collaboration with the Railway Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction) and the Security Industry Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) organized the International Exhibition and Conference on Modern Railway Technology and Infrastructure Construction Supply Chain (VRT & CONS 2025).
The main theme of the event is “The future of Vietnam's railway in the global supply chain”, emphasizing the goal of developing a modern railway industrial ecosystem, linked to the infrastructure construction supply chain, green transformation and digital transformation.

Railways are identified as the "backbone" of the national transport system.
In his opening speech, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Danh Huy said that railways are identified as the "backbone" of the national transport system. Railway development, especially high-speed railways and urban railways, is an inevitable trend, a new growth driver, helping to restructure the economy , optimize logistics costs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote regional connectivity and international integration, and ensure national defense and security.
However, the current reality of Vietnam's railway industry is still limited, with low transport market share, outdated technology, unsynchronized infrastructure, and especially the absence of a domestic railway industrial ecosystem. These "bottlenecks" can only be resolved with a new mindset, a new way of working, and comprehensive cooperation.
According to Mr. Huy, the story of Vietnam's railway future in the global supply chain is a strategic and practical visionary topic, closely following the development orientation and urgent requirements facing Vietnam.
“More than a trade exhibition, this event must be a strategic forum for the railway industry. The Vietnamese railway industry currently needs connecting platforms like this event to move towards the goals of connecting technology - solutions - investment - supply chain”, the Deputy Minister of Construction emphasized.
VRT & CONS 2025 takes place on an international scale, attracting an estimated 200 domestic and international enterprises and organizations, with more than 120 booths displaying technology, products and comprehensive solutions for the railway and transport infrastructure industry. This is the first international exhibition and conference on railway and infrastructure held in Vietnam, positioned as a platform for strategic dialogue and long-term investment connection for the Vietnamese railway industry ecosystem.
According to the Organizing Committee, VRT & CONS 2025 brings together nearly 90 domestic and international enterprises and organizations from Germany, China, Korea, Japan, Austria, Thailand, Malaysia, Switzerland, the UK and many other countries and territories, along with key units of Vietnam, enterprises such as Vietnam Railways, Hanoi Metro, Hoa Phat, Vinh Hung, Mico, TRV... construction and supporting industry enterprises.
The event consists of two main axes, including: a specialized exhibition displaying products, equipment, solutions and railway - infrastructure technology, from trains, control signals, TBM, MRO, maintenance equipment, to construction materials, equipment, and supporting industries.
In addition, there is a series of conferences - forums - investment connection talks: strategic dialogue sessions, high-level forums, CEO talks, investment connection conferences, railway - partner talks, technical solution presentations, career talkshows and railway technology experience days.
In parallel with the main exhibition area, the Organizing Committee arranged a partner connection area (Investment & Partnership Hub) operating throughout the 4 days, creating a meeting space and B2B connection for businesses, financial institutions, investment funds, industrial parks and solution providers.
