On October 15th, the Ho Chi Minh City Informatics Association (HCA), in collaboration with Meta Square, organized the Vietnam & Korea on IT Sector Business Networking program to strengthen connections and expand potential cooperation and investment opportunities in the information technology and digital transformation sectors.
The Vietnam-Korea Business Networking Program will take place from October 15th to 17th in Ho Chi Minh City. This is one of a series of activities in response to the National Digital Transformation Day on October 10th in Ho Chi Minh City, featuring business-to-business (B2B) networking activities between 14 Korean technology companies and 60 Vietnamese technology companies. The event is expected to generate over 200 business connections.
According to the organizers, the smart city project development delegation from South Korea includes experts, organizations, and reputable businesses, such as the Pohang Institute for Metal Industry Development; the GyeongBuk Province ICT Industry Promotion Association, and others.
Mr. Hoang Minh Anh Tu, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Informatics Association, shared: "This event was attended by many Korean businesses, bringing new technologies and the most advanced digital transformation applications. HCA is always ready to act as a bridge to cooperate with associations and trade promotion organizations to expand the market for member businesses in Vietnam, thereby creating opportunities for exchange, cooperation and development in the future."
On the same day, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications also welcomed Korean organizations and businesses to exchange and share experiences on building smart city development solutions, through the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ho Chi Minh City Informatics Association (HCA) and the Pohang City Association of Gyeongsangbuk Province, and the Nara Information Association.
Mr. Vo Minh Thanh, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications, said that Ho Chi Minh City is very pleased to welcome the delegation of smart city businesses from South Korea to visit and work with them, sharing experiences. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications is always aware of its role in cooperating and promoting digital transformation and building information infrastructure, which is a solid foundation for smart cities. Therefore, he highly appreciates the proposals from the businesses, which possess advanced technologies, innovative solutions, and a long-term vision in this field. He hopes that after this meeting, Ho Chi Minh City and Korean businesses will further strengthen cooperation in the future.
