At the meeting, the Vietnamese delegation expressed their desire to participate in EXPO 2027 Belgrade, considering this an important opportunity to promote the national image, introduce cultural identity, development achievements as well as expand bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The two sides discussed methods of logistics support, cultural and trade cooperation opportunities.
Host country Serbia emphasized that it will support and share information with participating countries and is ready to discuss at meetings for international members participating in the EXPO exhibition. Representatives of the EXPO 2027 Belgrade Organizing Committee affirmed that they will organize a field trip to the EXPO Village construction site in the near future, creating conditions for countries to grasp the overall planning and prepare specific participation plans.
Belgrade - the capital of Serbia - is one of the ancient and dynamic cities of southeastern Europe, where history and modernity, east and west intersect. With a population of about 2 million people, a heavily invested and modernized infrastructure system serving EXPO 2027, Belgrade demonstrates its determination to become an attractive destination for cultural exchange and global cooperation.
According to information from the Organizing Committee, EXPO 2027 Belgrade is expected to take place for three months with the participation of hundreds of countries and international organizations. International transit centers through Dubai, Istanbul... will help shorten the distance and greatly facilitate connections from the Asia- Pacific region, including Vietnam.
In addition to its role as an international playground for technology, innovation and sustainable development, EXPO 2027 is also a place for cultures to converge, dialogue and spread. Therefore, activities introducing traditional arts, folk music, folk sports , handicrafts, cuisine and heritage of Vietnam will act as a "door" to open up many potential connections, enhancing exchanges between communities. From there, the image of Vietnam will spread, affirming the image of a peaceful, hospitable, dynamic and rich-in-identity nation.
Participation in EXPO 2027 Belgrade is being carefully studied and prepared by Vietnam, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will closely coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to report and submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision. This is also an important occasion to affirm Vietnam's role and position in global forums on cultural development, creativity and multilateral cooperation.
