Da Nang: Green transformation, digital transformation to build a sustainable development ecosystem

At the COP26 Conference, the Prime Minister committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 (Net Zero). In December 2022, Vietnam continued to sign the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) with developed countries, demonstrating its strong determination to take action for the climate.

For Da Nang , green transformation, digital transformation and renewable energy development have always been identified as strategic directions. The city has been implementing programs to support businesses in digital transformation, building smart factories, developing rooftop solar energy and piloting a green electricity certification mechanism.

Accordingly, the Workshop informed management agencies, experts and businesses about: Policies on renewable energy development and energy saving; application of digital technology in management and optimization of energy use; discussed the role of renewable energy certificates in green production and international market integration.

Some new solutions were also shared such as: Solar power technology with storage for businesses and households; solar battery products integrated with technology; clean energy investment fund...

Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City Nguyen Van Tru said: We believe that the workshop will contribute to spreading awareness, promoting connections and specific actions to work together to build a sustainable development ecosystem, effectively adapting to global climate change.
