VN-Index fluctuates, foreign investors return to net selling

NDO - On May 23, the market traded differently while key stocks such as banks, securities, and steel traded less actively, causing the main index to fluctuate slightly within a narrow range. At the end of the session, the VN-Index increased by 0.62 points to 1,314.46 points.

In this session, stocks that had a positive impact on the VN-Index included: GAS, VHM, GEE, VIC, GEX, STB, ACB , HAG, VRE, VNM with an increase of more than 4.15 points. On the contrary, stocks: VPL, TCB, VPB, MSN, BID, BCM, VCB, VGC, POW, PLX, were sold heavily and took away more than 2.96 points from the VN-Index.

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session decreased sharply compared to the previous session, reaching more than 15,018.58 billion VND.

Foreign investors returned to net selling approximately 137 billion VND on the HoSE floor in this session. On the buying side, GEX shares were bought the most with a value of more than 79 billion VND, followed by VHM (68 billion VND), VIC (61 billion VND), STB (61 billion VND)... On the contrary, FPT was sold the most (127 billion VND), followed by MSN (108 billion VND), MWG (89 billion VND), HCM (66 billion VND)...

Today's session, the VN30 group of stocks closed with 15 stocks increasing, 3 stocks remaining unchanged and 12 stocks decreasing.

Of which, GAS increased the most with an increase of 3.28% to 63,000 VND/share, STB increased by 1.7%, VRE increased by 1.18%, ACB increased by 1.17%, VHM increased by 1.03%.

Codes: BVH, FPT, GVR, HDB, LPB, SHB , VIB, VIC, VJC, VNM increased slightly.

Three codes stopped at the reference, including: MBB, SSB, SSI.

On the other hand, BCM decreased by 1.51%, PLX decreased by 1.29%, MSN decreased by 1.25%, TCB decreased by 1.15%, VPB decreased by 1.09%.

The remaining codes: BID, CTG, HPG, MWG, SAB, TPB, VCB decreased slightly.

In terms of industry groups, steel stocks, except for SMC, plummeted, down 4.05% to VND10,650/share, while the rest mostly fluctuated slightly. Specifically, VCA increased by 1.5%, HMC increased slightly, DTL, HSG, POM stopped at reference, HPG, NKG, TLH decreased slightly.

The group of securities stocks closed the session down 0.78%. Of which, VDS decreased by 2.05%, ORS decreased by 1.77%, HCM decreased by 1.76%, FTS decreased by 1.72%, APG decreased by 1.67%, VIX decreased by 1.11%, AGR, BSI, CTS, DSC, DSE, TCI, VCI, VND decreased slightly. On the contrary, SSI, TVS stopped at reference, TVB increased slightly.

Banking stocks closed in light red, down 0.09%. In addition to the codes: ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, LPB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, VIB in the VN30 group mentioned above, other codes such as: EIB increased by 1.42%, MSB, OCB decreased slightly, NAB increased by 2.64%.

Meanwhile, the real estate stock group closed the session up 0.41% with positive trading codes such as: CKG hit the ceiling price of VND13,500/share, TEG increased to the limit, CRE increased by 3.19%, DTA increased by 2.44%, QCG increased by 2.19%, SJS increased by 2.12%, TCH increased by 3.29%, VSI increased by 5.91%. On the contrary, TDH decreased by 6.24%, TDC decreased by 1.38%, NVT decreased by 2.31%, NTL decreased by 1.7%, PDR decreased by 1.83%...

Other stock groups such as consumer goods and decoration increased by 3.12%, transportation increased by 1.67%, insurance, raw materials, means of production, utilities, telecommunications, and software increased slightly.

On the contrary, consumer services decreased by 1.78%, distribution and retail of durable goods, food, beverages and tobacco decreased slightly.

* The Vietnamese stock market index fluctuated today, VNXALL-Index closed up 0.3 points (+0.01%), at 2,158.85 points. Liquidity with trading volume reached 712.74 million units, equivalent to trading value of VND 16,842.15 billion. In the whole market, there were 183 stocks increasing in price, 90 stocks remaining unchanged and 183 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 216.32 points, down 0.47% (-0.22%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 56.97 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND967,283 billion. The entire floor had 72 stocks increasing, 59 stocks remaining unchanged and 86 stocks decreasing.

The HNX30 index closed down 1.84 points (-0.43%) to 427.23 points. Trading volume reached about 32.35 million units, with a corresponding value of more than VND705,861 billion. The HNX30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 9 stocks increasing, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 17 stocks decreasing.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index increased, closing at 96.54 points, up 0.40 points (+0.42%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 43.81 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 442,614 billion VND. The UPCoM group of stocks ended the trading day with 167 stocks increasing, 123 stocks remaining unchanged and 146 stocks decreasing.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 0.62 points (+0.05%) at 1,314.46 points. Liquidity reached over 710.47 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND16,611.15 billion. The entire floor had 162 stocks increasing, 54 stocks remaining unchanged and 150 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 0.16 points (-0.01%) to 1,409.4 points. Liquidity reached more than 257.63 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND 7,927.86 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 15 stocks increasing, 3 stocks remaining unchanged and 12 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are SHB (over 44.76 million units), EVF (over 19.18 million units), HAG (over 16.99 million units), GEX (over 14.34 million units), TCH (over 13.21 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase were TEG (6.97%), SMA (6.96%), GEE (6.95%), HU1 (6.90%), PAC (6.90%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price decrease were ACB (-15.46%), VAF (-7.41%), CMV (-6.99%), PNC (-6.96%), DHG (-6.48%).

* Today's derivatives market had 156,616 contracts traded, worth more than VND 22,008.65 billion.
