Investigation to clarify violations of EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company

On May 23, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc issued a document assigning the Department of Health to coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade, the Provincial Police and relevant agencies and units to inspect the compliance with legal regulations on cosmetics management in the production, business, advertising, and sale of fake and poor quality cosmetics and strictly handle EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company according to the law.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province requested the above units to report the results of inspection, handling of suspension of circulation, recall and destruction of substandard cosmetics on May 25, 2025; at the same time, publicize the results of handling violations on mass media so that people know and avoid them.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Health to coordinate with relevant units to strengthen inspection and post-inspection of EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company and cosmetic production and trading establishments in the province; promptly detect, prevent, not let violations occur, handle violations, and recall poor quality products circulating on the market.

In addition, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Dong Nai Provincial Police to direct the police of units and localities to investigate and clarify the violations of the EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company and strictly handle them according to the provisions of law. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Provincial Police to direct the police of communes, wards and towns to strengthen their grasp of the situation, detect, prevent and promptly handle acts of producing and trading fake and poor quality food and cosmetics.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province assigned the relevant departments to urgently coordinate with the provincial police to inspect and handle the advertisement of Nestlé Milo Company Limited for the product "Barley Milk Supplement". Report the inspection results on May 23, 2025.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to direct the Market Management force to organize a peak period and regularly inspect and strictly handle cases of smuggling, production and trading of counterfeit and poor quality goods...

The Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee also requested the People's Committees of districts and cities to strengthen inspection and supervision of health food and cosmetic businesses in the area. In particular, the Trang Bom District People's Committee coordinated with the Department of Health and related units to strengthen inspection and supervision of the EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company.

Previously, the Drug Administration of Vietnam - Ministry of Health requested the Dong Nai Department of Health to suspend circulation, recall and destroy the batch of substandard cosmetics for EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company, Road No. 6, Giang Dien Industrial Park, Giang Dien Commune, Trang Bom District, Dong Nai Province. This is a cosmetics factory for VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited, mezzanine floor of Dai Thanh Binh Building 911-913-915-917 Nguyen Trai, Ward 14, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.

Regarding Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited, Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, An Binh Ward, Bien Hoa City, the Department of Food Safety issued Official Dispatch No. 805/ATTP-NDTT dated April 22, 2025 regarding coordination in handling information related to advertising Nestlé Milo barley milk products.
