Through 18 times of organizing the Contest, there have been thousands of topics participating in the Contest at the grassroots, district, town levels and 1,778 topics have been introduced to participate in the City-level Contest. There have been 718 topics awarded; there are 42 topics winning prizes nationwide and 3 topics winning international prizes.
Held annually, the Competition arouses the potential and promotes the creative thinking of teenagers and children throughout the city; directs youth activities to jobs that are useful to society. At the same time, it helps children improve their knowledge, practice creative skills, and build "The dream of becoming an inventor in the future". The Competition has been promoting the achieved results, becoming a useful activity for teenagers and children, while opening up a new form of teaching and learning, learning activities in schools that are both closely linked to reality, linked to research and creativity, helping children become familiar with the thinking methods and working methods of scientists .
In 2025, 187 topics were selected from 9 districts, towns, high schools, colleges, and clubs to participate in the Contest with 5 areas: Learning materials (43 topics); Computer software (24 topics); Environmentally friendly products (54 topics); Household appliances and children's toys (30 topics); Technical solutions to protect the environment, respond to climate change and develop the economy (36 topics).
At the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 18th Contest in 2025, the Organizing Committee decided to award prizes to 47 topics, including: 1 Special prize, 5 First prizes, 7 Second prizes, 10 Third prizes and 24 Encouragement prizes for authors and groups of authors. This year, 1 Special prize was awarded to the group of authors Vo Tran Minh Thu and Le Phuong Anh (Hai Ba Trung High School) with the topic "Design and digitize relics and artifacts to preserve and promote the cultural values of Champa for high school students in Hue city".

In order to recognize the contributions of the instructors, the Organizing Committee awarded commemorative medals to teachers whose topics won prizes. In addition, the Organizing Committee also commended and awarded certificates of merit to 5 groups that had outstanding achievements in implementing and promoting the Contest. At the award ceremony, there was also an activity of awarding Vallet scholarships to the group of authors who won the Special Prize and presenting commemorative medals to commend authors who have overcome difficulties to be creative and participate in the Contest.
Immediately after the closing and award ceremony, the Organizing Committee officially launched the 19th Hue City Youth and Children's Creativity Contest in 2026 and called for the participation and active response from a large number of youth and children to create a movement of scientific and technological innovation, helping them to promote creative thinking, continuously study to contribute to a better future.
