Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha also requested the Department of Construction to send the project's progress schedule with an appendix of the work to be done by the time of project commencement to the Provincial People's Committee no later than May 26.
At the same time, the Department of Finance reviewed legal regulations and advised the Provincial People's Committee to assign the Department of Construction to be the unit to prepare the investment proposal for this project. The Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with the Long Thanh District People's Committee to handle issues related to land use planning and land use plans of the project to carry out land recovery.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha emphasized that according to the plan, Long Thanh Airport Phase 1 will be completed and put into operation in the first half of 2026. Therefore, the implementation of the construction of an underground pipeline to transport fuel from the upstream warehouse at Go Dau B port to supply the operations of Long Thanh Airport needs to be accelerated.
According to the Department of Construction, the underground pipeline planning to supply fuel from the Go Dau B source depot to Long Thanh Airport (Jet A-1) is about 22km long, including 9 sections with 2 steel pipes laid parallel, 0.5m apart. The depth of the buried pipe is 2m compared to the existing cross-section. Of the total length of the underground pipeline, 16km goes outside the boundary of Long Thanh Airport and 6km goes within the airport construction area.
