The world is witnessing rapid developments every day, every hour, deeply affecting global peace, security and development. However, the mission of the Army press is not only to simply report on events taking place in every corner of the world, but also to inform international friends about the Party's policies and guidelines, the country, people and culture of Vietnam as well as Vietnam's viewpoints and stances on regional and international issues. As the country's role, position and prestige are increasingly enhanced, today's generation of journalist-soldiers can also feel the "breath" of international life right in the capital Hanoi, of which the US-North Korea Summit held in February 2019 is a typical example.

In particular, in recent years, Vietnam's foreign affairs activities in general and defense diplomacy in particular have been increasingly expanded, with the density of each year being higher than the previous year, so the requirements and tasks for the team of journalists and reporters of the Army are also higher and heavier. These are the times accompanying the leaders of the Party, State, and Army on visits, attending conferences and events abroad; the defense diplomacy trips and sea marches of thousands of nautical miles with naval ships, coast guard...; the International Military Games in the Russian Federation and other countries; the foreign affairs events in border areas with neighboring countries, the times going to Turkey, Myanmar to help their countries overcome the consequences of earthquakes or following the Vietnamese peacekeeping forces to missions in remote African regions, but it can also be a major event taking place right in the heart of the capital Hanoi such as the International Defense Exhibition hosted by Vietnam.
Each trip and event like that requires journalists, reporters and editors of the Army to have good professional qualifications, meet the requirements and tasks, have a method, a quick working style and a spirit to overcome all difficulties to carry out tasks promptly and effectively. The greatest encouragement for them is to be trusted by superiors, and to be given the best working conditions by agencies, units and colleagues. The greatest joy for them is to be able to "look out" at the big world, to use their daily work to help the international community better understand Vietnam's foreign policy, foreign policy, national defense policy of peace and self-defense, about the country, people and the Vietnam People's Army that love peace and want to expand cooperation for peace, stability and development.

As Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, and Deputy Minister of National Defense, affirmed at a recent conference, foreign propaganda has become an important bridge, comprehensively reflecting the results of Vietnam's international integration and defense diplomacy to cadres, soldiers, people at home, overseas Vietnamese, and the international community.
Journalism is witnessing major changes as technology takes over, but connecting Vietnam to the world remains an unwavering mission for soldiers holding pens. Every trip, every event, whether taking place domestically or abroad, is always a memorable experience, a time to accumulate valuable experiences for a journalistic career.
COURAGEOUS
