Construction unit scraped and temporarily flattened the road surface of National Highway 51 on May 21.

Previously, people reported that the road surface had raised ripples, commonly known as "buffalo waves", causing vehicles to shake when traveling, posing a potential traffic safety risk, especially for motorbikes and cars traveling at high speeds.

A representative of Road Management Area IV said that while waiting for the thorough repair plan to be approved, the unit has requested the contractor to temporarily scrape and flatten the damaged areas to ensure safe and smooth traffic and minimize the risk of accidents.

According to the plan, in 2025, National Highway 51 will be repaired at key locations. Road Management Area IV has coordinated with the authorities of Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces to review and assess the current status of the route, and at the same time proposed to add 51.6 billion VND from the medium-term capital source to implement the repair.

This funding will be used to repair severely damaged roadbeds and surfaces, repaint worn road markings, and improve the local drainage system, thereby contributing to improving the quality of operation and ensuring traffic safety along the entire route.
