The tourists were then restrained by security forces at the museum.

According to officials, the man was diagnosed with mental illness and the case is under further investigation. The hole he jumped into was 5.4 meters deep. In the video , the man can be seen lying down, holding his head and groaning after jumping.

Built around 209 BC to guard the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the Terracotta Army of some 8,000 statues is one of the most important archaeological discoveries in China. They are considered a symbol of the art and military prowess of ancient China.

Today, the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang in Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province in northern China, is a major tourist attraction. The exhibition area has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
