In response to Micronutrient Day, nearly 98,000 children in Hai Duong will receive high-dose vitamin A supplements.

On June 1 and 2, medical stations in Hai Duong province simultaneously organized high-dose vitamin A administration for children aged 6-59 months.

In addition to the group of children aged 6-35 months who are supplemented with vitamin A, the group of children aged 36-59 months who suffer from diarrhea, measles, etc. are also prescribed to take it during this period due to the high risk of vitamin A deficiency.

The whole province strives to have over 99% of children of the right age receiving vitamin A during this period.

Due to the hot weather, medical stations have arranged for more medical staff to organize vitamin A tables to avoid making children and their families wait too long.
