This is the second time this agricultural festival has taken place in Hoi An city with the hope of a year of bountiful harvests, prosperous business, peace and happiness for farmers in particular and the people of Hoi An and Quang Nam in general.

Within the framework of the 2025 rice field festival, there will be experiential activities such as: Performance of buffalo plowing and tractor plowing, vibrating plowing - Performance of catching winter-spring rice seedlings - Rice planting competition.

The festival of going to the fields is a traditional ritual of farmers to express their respect and gratitude to heaven, earth and nature for giving them a good crop, favorable rain and wind, and is an opportunity for farmers to exchange and share experiences so that the new crop will yield a lot of rice with good quality.

Experience of slapping a bucket in Cam Chau field. Mr. Nguyen The Hung, Vice Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee - said: "The festival contributes to preserving and promoting the intangible cultural values ​​of the traditional profession of wet rice cultivation; encouraging and motivating farmers to raise awareness of preserving the beauty of traditional professions and national culture".

The farming experience activity attracted dozens of foreign tourists to participate. Among the groups of tourists participating in the farming experience, a tourist named James (from New Zealand) was the "pioneer" wearing a raincoat to wade into the fields to experience plowing, "transforming" into a real farmer.

“This is my first time traveling to Hoi An and I feel very happy to participate in this activity. It is a very interesting experience, this is an unforgettable trip for me and my friends," James shared.

In addition, there are activities throughout the festival such as: Farmer's cuisine, Countryside Market space, displaying and introducing local OCOP products.

Food stalls also attract many locals and tourists to experience.

People were supported with fertilizer and seeds at the festival.

Held for the first time in December 2024, the Cam Chau - Hoi An rice field festival attracted a large number of tourists to participate and enjoy the unique cultural festival of Vietnam, which originated from the wet rice agricultural civilization and is still preserved and maintained in many localities, including Hoi An.

Although the main economic sector in Hoi An is tourism and services, agriculture still plays an important role in the lives of local people. The Going to the Field Festival is one of the traditional festivals, contributing to the preservation and conservation of traditional culture in Hoi An today.
