The festival will take place until November 30 at the Youth Cultural House and central cultural spaces of the city.
This is one of the city's typical cultural and creative activities in 2025. The event attracted more than 100 international photographers and Vietnamese photographers, training units, technology, media and tourism businesses and a large number of photography lovers.
According to Mr. Doan Hoai Trung, Chairman of the City Photography Association, the festival aims to: Promote the image of the city as a creative, open urban area rich in cultural and artistic life; create a professional playground for professional and amateur photographers; promote international exchanges, strengthen the cooperation network between Vietnamese artists and world photography organizations.
In addition, the event is held to contribute to the cultural industry development strategy; strengthen the connection between tourism, technology and communication through the art of photography.
“The festival also aims to spread the spirit of creativity, encourage the community to approach photography as a storytelling tool and preserve cultural values,” said Mr. Doan Hoai Trung.
The 2025 International Photography Festival has 60 booths, displaying camera equipment, printers, photography supplies, photographic works of photographers, associations, clubs and food booths.
The festival has 4 exhibitions including: Exhibition "Photography without borders" at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street; Exhibition of results of the 3rd City International Art Photography Contest at the City Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Exhibition of the 15th Ho Chi Minh City Regional Festival at the Youth Cultural House and Exhibition "Epic of the Ages" of photography from the 3 cities of Hanoi-Hue-Ho Chi Minh City.
The festival also includes the Photo Marathon Competition - Ho Chi Minh City "Dynamic Destination", the Ho Chi Minh City International Photography Camp 2025 with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City through the perspective of international photography" with nearly 100 international and Vietnamese photographers participating.
Within the framework of the festival, there will also be on-site creative activities, technical exchanges, workshops, creative partnership cooperation, art programs, etc.
