Free medical examination and treatment for 4,000 people

STO - According to Plan No. 43/KH-SYT, dated July 5, 2023 of the Soc Trang Department of Health on coordinating the organization of humanitarian medical examination and treatment at Soc Trang Provincial General Hospital, the Department of Health coordinates to carry out free medical examination and treatment activities with an expected number of 4,000 people.

This activity will take place for 3 days (July 7, 8, 9, 2023), specifically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Area E - Soc Trang Provincial General Hospital, No. 378, Le Duan Street, Ward 9, Soc Trang City, Soc Trang Province. Participating are the medical examination delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Pediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Association, along with the medical team of the Provincial General Hospital, Soc Trang Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and related individuals, organizations and units.

The main content of the activity is health communication and consultation, congenital heart disease screening and medical examination, medicine provision, dental treatment... free of charge with an expected number of 4,000 people in the province and neighboring provinces, especially people in difficult circumstances. Accordingly, it is expected to provide general medical examination for 1,000 - 1,500 people; dental examination for 1,000 - 1,500 people; congenital heart disease screening for children under 16 years old for 800 - 1,000 people.

In the plan, the Department of Health allocates time to examine patients in the area. Specifically, on July 7, 2023, examine patients from the districts My Tu, My Xuyen, Tran De and Vinh Chau town; July 8, 2023, examine patients from the districts Chau Thanh, Thanh Tri, Nga Nam town and Soc Trang city; on July 9, 2023, patients from the districts Ke Sach, Cu Lao Dung, Long Phu and Soc Trang city.

The above activities aim to support, help, and share some of the difficulties for the poor, people in difficult circumstances, people with revolutionary contributions, lonely people, sick people who need health consultation, medical examination and treatment, contributing to the effective implementation of socialized health care for the people, improving the quality of life and ensuring social security. Mobilizing the participation of the whole society in humanitarian medical examination and treatment activities, creating favorable conditions for poor patients, those in difficult circumstances to be examined, given free medicine and timely treatment consultation, especially for serious illnesses, chronic illnesses, congenital heart disease... but not yet detected.
